I have been writing for most of my life. As a young child, I would make up stories about everything in and around my world. My imagination was my constant companion and together we were happy to spend an afternoon cloud gazing or playing make believe in among the tall grass.

I have now made the leap into the wonderful world of publishing. Being an author has been one of my secret dreams for decades. When I let the cat out of the bag, with the publishing of Breathe, I was anxious about sharing my work with my family and friends. Up until then I had let few people know that I am a writer at heart. I loved the process so much that I had no choice but to travel the road to see where it would lead.

I am currently working on the third historical fiction title in the Smith Family Series, titled, A Man Called Smith (ETA 2019) The first title, Becoming Mrs. Smith was published in October 2017. The second title, Stealing Mr. Smith is available September 25, 2018. Be sure to follow me on social media for updates and announcements. The second email is solely for you dear reader, and gives you a behind the scenes glimpse into what my characters are doing, saying, writing, and thinking as I continue the story while you wait for the next title to be released. I created Breathe, the inspirational, photographic book, using my husband, David’s photographs accompanied by my writing. The book was a gift of gratitude for him. After I sustained a mild traumatic brain injury and was left to deal with a less than reliable memory, David began to focus intently on his photography skills, thus creating a photographic map of our experiences together.

Breathe is for those needing a break from daily life or a little inspiration to see you through the week. I have been meditating for over twenty years and I believe in the purpose of focused breath. Often times, busy lives consume us and my hope is that Breathe will allow each reader a moment’s pause and time to reflect on the simple things in life that make our lives so fulfilling.

I invite you to visit my blog. I hope to lift your spirits, make you laugh, make you think, and help you find the solace and gratitude you may have been seeking. Most of all, I tackle each day seeking out the beauty in the world around me and then blog about the things I am grateful for. Changing your perspective, I believe, can change your experience. I am always learning new ways to enjoy the simple things in life.

I am a writer. A wife. Mother to a wonderful young man. I am a lover of dogs. Gardening fills me with a sense of accomplishment. I am a sports enthusiast, an avid reader, a lover of laughter, and a seeker of inspiration. Please stay awhile and breathe in the moment.
